Is ‘Chuck’ ready for the ratings battle?

This Star-Telegram article ponders the question, is Chuck ready to battle for its life? It has been no secret that ever since Chuck karate chopped its way on television it has been ho-hum in the ratings. Most of its views apparently come from Tivo, or on the internet through Hulu or NBC.com.

Chuck barely dodge cancellation last season, so how will it fair?

So expect Chuck to have it rough. NBC sent several episodes for review, and they all show that the series’ mix of adventure, humor and romance is still humming along. In even better news, each episode is better than the one before and shows how well the supporting cast has jelled into one of TV’s best ensembles. And Chuck has downloaded new material that gives him fighting powers that he never had before, making him a less-reluctant spy — as well as giving him some additional talents as well, such as a new proficiency on Spanish guitar.
